Messaging Renters

Send and receive messages with renters directly from the admin dashboard.

Overview

The Messages module lets you have direct conversations with renters. Messages are sent from your connected Gmail address and responses appear in the dashboard inbox.

Sending a message

From the booking detail: Open any booking. Click Send Message. Type your message and click Send.

From the Messages inbox: Go to Messages in the sidebar. Click Compose. Search for a customer by name or email, write your message, and send.

Inbox

The Messages inbox shows all your conversations sorted by most recent. Unread message count appears as a badge on the sidebar icon.

Q: Can renters initiate a message to me?

A: Yes — from their booking detail page, renters have a Message Host button.

Q: Are messages kept with the booking record?

A: Yes — all messages related to a booking are visible in the booking's timeline.
