Automated emails

OutdoorShare sends automated emails to renters at every stage of the booking lifecycle:

Viewing templates

Go to Communications in the sidebar to see all email templates. Click any template to preview the full email.

Gmail integration

OutdoorShare uses your connected Gmail account to send emails. This means emails arrive in the renter's inbox from your actual business email address — not a no-reply address.

To connect Gmail: Go to Settings → Communications. Click Connect Gmail. Authorise OutdoorShare to send emails on your behalf.

Manual messages

From any booking detail page, click Send Message to compose a custom email to the renter. The message is sent from your connected Gmail and logged in the booking timeline.

FAQ

Q: Can I customise the email content?

A: Basic customisation (business name, logo, colour) is applied from your Settings. Full template editing is available in the Communications section.

Q: What email address do emails come from?

A: Emails come from your connected Gmail address, so renters see your business email in the From field.
